Labyrinth designer David Blonski and retreat owner Rob Edwards have scheduled four labyrinth retreats to coincide with this years solstices and equinoxes at the Ariadne Retreat Center in Georgetown, California.  Our first retreat on March 23-25, celebrated spring renewal and a new-moon planting to foster the growth of the seeds of transformation in our personal lives and for the planet.  It was a weekend of yoga, tai chi, massage, music, labyrinth walks and healing for all who attended.

Special guest, cultural historian, Kayleen Asbo, delighted us all with her interpretations of the myths of Ariadne, Theseus, the Minotaur and Dionysus and how these stories related to the use of the labyrinth as a tool for personal transformation.  We all came away with a warm glow in our hearts and smiles upon our faces.

Our next Labyrinth Gathering at the summer solstice will be held June 22-24 and have the theme of “Music On The Labyrinth”.   This event will feature the return of the music ensemble MANDRA who will offer workshops on drumming, playing the didgeridoo and song writing in addition to the labyrinth walks, yoga classes and workshops.  The weekend retreat will also feature a  Mandra multi-media concert performance and a community drum circle.  Last years event was a fabulous success.  You can contact Ariadne Retreat owner, Rob Edwards, for details on full weekend retreat pricing and most workshops and individual events are open to the public for a suggested donation of $10-$15 for each workshop and event.  A schedule will be posted at a later date.
